Our mission is to connect, empower and build the skills of young professionals so we can create a safer, fairer, more sustainable world.

UNAA Young Professionals is an Australian charity run by and for young professionals, because we believe young people in Australia are already leaders.

Our team of volunteers across Australia run education events, build skills, and connect young professional aged people in the hopes of equipping a generation of leaders with the resolve they need to live the values and carry out the work and mission of the United Nations.

We are diverse in our backgrounds and chosen fields, we are professionals and students, and we speak many languages. We are stronger for our differences, and united by service to the idea of cooperation to solve global challenges.

Our history

In 2011, the United Nations Association of Australia created a Young Professionals Network. Its mission was to work across the country connecting young Australians to the mission of the UNAA.

The Young Professionals Network operated proudly as a national program under the UNAA for 13 years until in September 2024, the UNAA Board agreed to incorporate the YPN as a national company.

We continue to remain a proud member and partner of the UNAA as UNAA Young Professionals Limited, a national Australian company and registered charity run by and for young professionals.
